CENTER STREET STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Center Street Storm Drain Improvements will be received, electronically by Santaquin City on the Utah Public Procurement Place website (bids.sciquest.com/Utah), until 2:00 pm local time on May 25, 2022. The bids will then be publicly read at 4:00 pm on the same day at the Santaquin City offices at 275 West main Street.  The Project consists of demolition or relocation of existing improvements (concrete flat work, mailboxes, signs, irrigation piping, concrete irrigation structures, etc.), constructing a full storm drain system including inlet boxes, pipelines, manholes and an underground infiltration gallery curb and gutter, concrete driveway tie-ins, pulverizing existing asphalt, roadbase and asphalt paving.  The plans and bid include a bid alternate to remove trees, construct sidewalk, ADA ramps and concrete flat work, extending irrigation services, relocation residential water and pressure irrigation meters, and landscape cobble.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.  Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

Advertisement for the project begins on April 20, 2022

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 am local time on May 23, 2022, at 275 West Main Street, Santaquin, UT 84655. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

“This project is funded (or partially funded) through a Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The contractor will be required to comply with all federal labor standards and attendant laws, including the payment of the most current Davis-Bacon wages and compliance with Section 3 to provide employment opportunities for lower income persons. Local, minority and woman owned business owners are encouraged to bid. The lowest responsible bidder will be selected.”
