Help Shape myHometown Classes!

Our Community Resource Center is in full swing this term offering a variety of classes and activities that bring neighbors together to learn, create and connect! Our classes include gardening, water color, sketching in nature, tutoring and many more. It has been such a pleasure to watch so many community members, of all ages, learn new skills and enjoy time together.

In addition to our classes, we are preparing for our first "Days of Service" on May 2 and are asking for volunteers who would like to give back and support our amazing city of Santaquin through community projects. We will be dedicating this day of service to Sgt. Bill Hooser and warmly invite individuals, families and groups to join us as we show our support and appreciation for him and his family. Meet at our community resource center, 345 West 100 North at 8:30 a.m. and we will get you everything that you need to participate. Each project should be finished by noon. For more information go to www.myhometownut.com .

Classes meet on Thursdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m., running March 12 through May 14 with no class on April 9 due to Spring Break. Registration is easy-just scan the QR code and follow the instructions..

myHometown provides a Children's Center for children of our students, ages 18 months through elementary school. It is a wonderful service for parents that allows everyone to participate for free.

We are always grateful for volunteers and would love additional help in both the Children's Center and Tutoring classes. If you're interested, please email your name and phone number to sqcrc.castillo@gmail.com.

The myHometown initiative revitalizes aging neighborhoods by refurbishing homes and buildings, renewing landscapes, and adding new educational opportunities through Community Resource Centers.

"We lift the lives of residents and attract individuals and families who want to move in, stay and contribute to the long-term viability of the community."

MyHometown is Santaquin City, its residents, local churches, and businesses, creating welcoming neighborhoods where residents know and support each other. It is where neighbors willingly invest their time, money, and effort because they want to stay.
